China 1rst Bordeaux importer for 2010
Ok this not new but I just read it. I also read that Chinese "common" taste is much different from the American one. The later was Parker-Rolland's style wines, to sum up: wood+very ripened grapes+soft tannins. Chinese people prefer less woody and fresher wines. The trend is therefore changing, in particular harvests will be earlier to preserve this freshness. Will we get back to the old Bordeaux style? Is the modern style obsolete? Personally I would be very happy and would consider this as a wise return to more genuine wines. I may be too optimistic.
