Two white burgundy Premier Cru wines from two serious winemakers, tasted both at our last wine seminar in Fukuoka. Meursault 1er Cru Bouchères 10 by Domaine Buisson-Charles and Chassagne 1er Cru Morgeot 06 by Domaine Henri Germain & Fils. One could compare them and taste the differences between the two. The parcel Morgeot Fairendes in Chassage gives rather opulent wines, whereas the Bouchères parcel in Meursault, which is on calcareous rock, gives straight and extremely mineral wines. The magics of the soil! Note: both wines are excellent.
